[ He's quiet. Light eyes staring at him for a moment, needing a moment to shut down his own feelings. ]

[ When do you want him to name you? ]

[ Zero would probably understand his feelings when he names. It much easier that way. Words weren't exactly his strong deck of cards after all. He at least says this for the silence, in which usually means that it was. ]

It has to be you.

[ No one else. At least he was pretty firm with that answer. Following the question, he replies ]

I'd rather sooner than later, but I'll leave that up to you.

[ 'It has to be you.' ]

[ His heart cracks. What is he supposed to say to him... to that? ]

[ Words leave him, but it doesn't matter. He doesn't need them, he never did. Not with Ichiru. Words had always gotten in the way when it came to them. He only ever knew him when... he reaches forward and quietly envelopes his hand in a gentle embrace. ]

[ That's as honest as he'll ever really get from Ichiru. On the flip side, it will not be something he will force himself to repeat again. Saying even the simplest of those words already made him partially regret it in a different.

After all, he can only watch as Zero's reactions changed significantly. He never truly understood why but it was very obvious to him that his existence was very effective to Zero in more ways than one.

Strange as it was, he was getting used to the random display of affections, feeling the other's hand in his own. ]

[ The gesture is a token from their childhood. Even if Ichiru can't remember, he does. All the late nights he stayed up with him when his fever ran high, all the different medications he had to take just to sleep through it. How he would stay up with him until his fevers broke. How he would take his hand when they were alone just the two of them. Back then, that simple gesture meant the world to him. It meant Ichiru didn't hate him for what he'd done to him in their mother's womb. He should have but he didn't. ]

What about now?

[ Ichiru can't deny that it felt... nice. Someone else's warmth. He didn't have any of his memories, so he'd never really knew what warmth felt like. Sure, Zero had hugged him out of nowhere several times, and cried even on him, but that was all in the past.

The current Zero had no memories of what he had done. Those gestures still lingered on the back of Ichiru's mind. The last time he really was this close to Zero was when he got injured during the whole prayers event. Beyond, that he had kept physical contact to a minimum, only because he didn't really know how or what it meant.

It was just like right now. He didn't know whether to return the gesture or rip his hand away. Eventually, he just let his hand stayed where it was, held, warm. It was all very strange. ]

[ What he wants... That was the thing Ichiru never understood. The only thing he ever wanted... His lips curve into a faint smile. ]

I want you to be happy, Ichiru.

[ With or without him. ]

[ Ichiru looked at him with a raised brow and a slightly tilted head. ]

Do I look that unhappy to you?

[ He replied, his expression changing briefly. ]

Ne, Zero, you're quite an odd one. Rather than focusing on yourself, you're always concerned about me. Even if I can't remember you, there's only so much oe would do for eve their families. You certainly go above and beyond.

[ He shakes his head. ]

Even if you don't remember me, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you, Ichiru.

[ He extends his arm taking his hand in a gentle hold. He looks at him, a small smile lingering at the edge of his mouth as the ritual thrums at the back of his mind. Like an old Hunter spell, it takes little coaxing to bring the knowledge to the forefront of his mind. ]

[ He raises two fingers, index and middle, and power begins to glow from the tips, emitting a soft blue light. ]

[ He presses the soft light to his heart and begins writing with precise strokes. ]

My name is Hades. [ A kanji begins to emerge. ] Grasping your true name, I bind you here. With borrowed name, I dub you my servant. [ The last stroke is dealt. ] The name answers, the vessel to sound. I call you as my divine instrument. The name, Ichiru. The vessel, Itoshii. [ The kanji 愛 glows strongly, it's meaning beloved. ]

[ And disappears inside him. ]

[ He mused, his expression unchanging. However, he could see Zero's emotions changing. What an odd person. Even at the smallest things, he was content. He didn't really understand that, nor will he ever. He had to remember them first to understand but it was becoming harder to find answers. He was always left with questions in the end. ]

Perhaps, if I could remember you, these words would have more meaning. You're honestly a strange person saying things like this.

[ He replied with a small chuckle. ]

[ This wasn't something he had ever seen before but he watched as Zero did his thing. He watched the other take his hand and grasp it. The words and chant start to grow as he watched the ritual play its part.

He can't say he's ever actually thought of letting someone be this close to him but he was aware that this person was more than just another family member. There was something deeper, darker even. What could it possibly be? Not that he could dwell on it too long. He'd only make things worse for the both of them.

That symbol "Itoshii" makes its mark behind his neck. the place where he was marked felt strange if only for a moment. Eventually, the call of his name changed his form. A beautiful Katana, replaces the human boy that was standing there moments ago. ]

Itoshii huh?

[ Okay, he can't help but find that name really cheesy. Zero earns light laughing from his brother turned sword. ]

I didn't think you were the sentimental type. Ah how peculiar, this form.
